Overview-Padam Talao

Padam Talao is one of the city’s major lakes, located deep within Ranthambore National Park. It is said that this is the lake where Princess Padmavati bathed and also where she committed sati. The highly decorated Jogi Mahal is located near the lake.padam talao

The lake, which is surrounded by deep trees, is visited by a variety of creatures who come to drink water in the blazing heat. In the morning, one may also glimpse the endangered Chinkara Deer. Because various species hunt around the lake, it is an excellent location for wildlife photography. Crocodiles and other creatures can be spotted in the summer as the water begins to dry out. Although you cannot approach it, you may see it when on a vehicle safari or from the Ranthambore Fort.
